We are giving every child at Klipheuwel Primary School a gift and holding an end-of-year celebration for them all.
Klipheuwel Primary School is host to a community of children who face a number of tough and difficult life challenges. As we do every year, we are wanting to add some joy to these children’s lives!
Therefore, we are giving all the children and the teachers a gift – and holding an end-of-year celebration for them. For many of them, this is the only gift they get. We also hold a Christmas party for them at the end of the term. We hand out their gift bags and provide them with a morning of entertainment, spiritual input and a meal.
It’s a great way to sow into the community, and make a real difference in children’s lives.
We are doing things differently:
Due to the pandemic, we’ve had to rethink how we normally do the presents, the party & the entertainment. In the past we asked you to fill a personalized material bag with gifts. However, we have to do things a bit differently now.
Here’s how you can get involved:
This year we want to bless each of the 300 children and the 19 staff members with a gift bag.
We’re asking you to sponsor a gift for a child or a teacher for R50. You are welcome to donate multiple amounts of R50 or – if you can’t afford the full cost of a gift – then any amount will be very much appreciated. We will then do the shopping on your behalf. Please make a donation into the Church bank account with the reference Klipheuwel Gifts. Please make your donations by Tuesday 30th November. This gives us time to get all the gifts organised before the celebration on the 9th and 10th of December.
Join us for the celebration – Thursday 9th December – to help with the games or handing out the food – we’d love to have you there! Email Laurencia and let her know you are coming along.
