We are packing a gift bag for every child at Klipheuwel Primary School and holding an end-of-year celebration for them all.
Klipheuwel Primary School is host to a community of children who face a number of tough and difficult life challenges. As we do every year, we are wanting to add some joy to these children’s lives!
Therefore, we are packing a gift bag for every child at Klipheuwel Primary School and holding an end-of-year celebration for them all. We will bless each for the 355 children with a bag filled with presents, sweets and some toiletries. For many of them, this is the only gift they get. We also hold a Christmas party for them towards the end of the term. We hand out their gift bags to them and provide them with a morning of entertainment, spiritual input and a meal.
It’s a great way to sow into the community, and make a real difference in children’s lives.
Join us on the day to help with the games or handing out the food – we’d love to have you there! Email Laurencia and let her know you are coming along.
Here’s how you can get involved:
Collect a bag (or 2 or 3) from the church foyer. Available from Sunday 27 October.
Fill it with the things suggested on the enclosed list. Please keep the value of the contents to R60-70 so all bags are similar. If you want to spend more, please rather take an additional bag.
Return to church by Sunday 17 November.
We would also love you to join us on the day of the party (Friday 29th November) to help us hand out the gift bags and join in the fun.
