Providing Confidence, support and connection to new moms
When I joined the Moms’ Connect group we were still fairly new at ESCC. It was nice to get to know the people in the church a little better – to get to know the moms better, which was very nice for me. It’s also a place where my little one can socialise a bit. And I appreciated that Lizl is a doula, and she has a lot of information about pregnancy and babies. About which hospital in the area is good and which doctors are good. It was also nice to get to know Judy better and I really enjoyed that. The Moms’ Connect group is a very safe space, a place where I felt comfortable and welcome. – Ileana
The greatest support that this group has offered me as a first-time mom was giving me confidence and reassurance about my ability to be a good mom. Being able to share our struggles and joys makes us realise that when our babies are being babies and having bad days, or weeks, the best thing we can do is turn to each other. We realise that we all share the same experiences, and that makes it easier. We keep trying our best and supporting each other, and we all get through it together. – Sandr
The Mom’s Connect group has been lovely for me, as a first-time mommy. To be able to connect with moms of different ages and stages of motherhood, seeing and hearing tips and tricks and just being able to speak without judgement. This group has been such a gift – a place where I always felt welcomed, supported, and understood. For me, Moms’ Connect has been a place to just be. I don’t have to present myself or kids in a certain way. I can just be (which speaks of peace, joy and freedom). There’s so much to receive and learn. The treats are also always delicious. – Viwe’
