A Call to Sit at His Feet
After a recent Sunday service, I went forward for prayer. The couple who prayed with me gently encouraged me to read the story of Mary and Martha in Luke 10:38–42.
Later that evening, I sat quietly, read the passage, and prayed. As I reflected on the story, I sensed the Holy Spirit speaking to me—gently but clearly. I realized that for much of my life, I’ve been like Martha: Serving, doing, helping others, staying busy with ministry and daily life.
But in that moment, I felt the Lord saying: “Now it’s time to be Mary.”
It was a shift in perspective. God is inviting me into a season of stillness and deeper intimacy. A season of sitting at His feet, listening, and receiving.
I share this because I believe others might be sensing the same call. Maybe you’ve also been in a Martha season. Maybe the Lord is now calling you to slow down, sit with Him, and choose what is better. – Joyce Munyama
