ESCC Youth lead worship at Durbanville Children's Home

On Friday,  4 October, the ESCC Youth leaders and Next Get worship group (who are all part of the Youth) went to serve at the Durbanville Children’s Home.

“It was fantastic because the Next Gen worship team led the worship time completely by themselves,” says Youth pastor Liam du Toit.

The ESCC Youth visited the Durbanville Children’s Home to connect with the children and bless them with live worship — and a few snacks to share.

Here’s how Bella Gray, one of the Next Gen worship leaders, described the experience:

“Going to Durbanville Children’s home was truly an unforgettable experience. At first I had no idea what to expect, except that I would be playing worship songs with the youth band for the kids. When I got there I realised it was much more than that. I was able to play with the kids and interact with other leaders from Grapevine Church and even had the opportunity to watch the amazing teaching by Clive (from Grapevine). The message, about making wise decisions, was easy for all ages to understand and I could even apply it to my own life. You won’t just find such a fun, loving and safe environment anywhere, which is why I am truly grateful to have been part of the experience.”

The outreach was a meaningful opportunity for the Youth leadership and the Next Gen worship team to step beyond the walls of ESCC and serve the wider community.
