All-In Sunday - Journey to Bethlehem
As Christmas approaches, this year we want to slow down and focus on the journey through Advent—4 weeks of reflection leading up to the celebration of Jesus’ birth.
Advent is much more than a calendar with treats; its name comes from the Latin word adventus, meaning “coming” or “arrival.” Traditionally, the 1st week of Advent is focused on hope, the 2nd on peace, the 3rd on love and the 4th on joy
This year, Advent begins on December 1 and coincides with our next All-in Sunday, titled ‘Journey to Bethlehem,’ when we’ll start this journey of advent.
The All-In Sunday will be an exciting day for us to hear wonderful testimonies of how God has birthed new life through us as a congregation, and we’ll be including some carols in the service as well as a musical surprise. Afterwards we’ll enjoy a bring-and-braai together. As usual our All-In Sunday’s are a time where everyone from the youngest to the oldest gathers to celebrate!
