Klipheuwel End-Of-Year Celebration
“The end of year function is the highlight of the year and the children don’t forget [about it]. When they see us, they see ‘End-of-Year Function,” says Laurencia Parks who heads up the Klipheuwel ministry.
This year’s End-of-Year Celebration takes place of 8 December 2023!
Besides enjoying an end-of-year celebration, which includes a party with fun food and a gift for each child and their teachers, this Klipheuwel celebration is also an opportunity to share about Jesus.
According to Mikpunt Primary school’s principal, Mr September, “About 70% of the children don’t go to a church.” These children don’t know the meaning behind Christmas and he feels it’s important that they do.
During the party, volunteers from ESCC put on a play that shares the story of the birth of Jesus and the meaning behind Christmas.
There are also games and lots of fun had by all!
How you can get involved:
- By donated in multiples of R75 to bless one child, or more children
- By helping to pack the gifts into bags on 4 December at ESCC
- By taking part in the End-of-Year Celebration
