Healed Again: Estelle De Beer’s Third Cancer Victory

Estelle De Beer has survived cancer on three separate occasions and she shared her testimony about her latest diagnosis and how God has healed her.

After seeing blood in her stool she visited a clinic. They told her that it was hemorrhoids and that it would take up to a year to heal. After a year nothing had changed, so Estelle went back to the clinic. She managed to get an appointment at Carl Bremer hospital within one week.

“You don’t get an appointment within one week. Impossible in South Africa if you go to the normal (government) hospitals.That was in September 2024. I got the results in October 2024. The doctor said, “You have a tumor in your rectum.” The tumour was 4.5cm big (which was a relief to Estelle who thought initially it was 11 or 12 cm big).

She underwent a number of medical treatment procedures and then Estelle was in Tygerberg Hospital where she was scheduled for surgery at the end of October 2024.

“I was excited, I didn’t know what was going to happen. The only thing I wondered was why do I need to spend five days in hospital? The student doctor took all my information and then the surgeon came and examined me and he exclaimed, ‘There’s no tumour! It’s gone, it’s gone!’ However, to be extra cautious he said, ‘let’s have another look using a scope’.”

“I was so excited, because God told me before, in a vision, that the tumour is crumpled up. That it’s burnt and it’s gone. But I had to believe it!” When the doctor was examining me, it felt like I was dancing on the inside. But I couldn’t jump up and dance while being examined.

The next day, the doctor confirmed, “There’s only a scar. There’s no tumour”.  I said, “Praise the Lord, thank you God!” The doctor said, “Yes, thank you God!”

“Jesus died for us, He has scars for us. It’s in Isaiah 53:5
But he was pierced for our transgressions,

    he was crushed for our iniquities;

the punishment that brought us peace was on him,

    and by his wounds we are healed.

The doctor told another doctor and said that the chemo had worked, which was three months before (although I didn’t do all the chemo). But, I told him it was a miracle!”
